Getting Started
Get your crew onto the mobile field app
Your techs run their day from the WaterMark field app on their phone: their route, each stop, water tests, dosing, and visit recaps. You invite them from the office and control what they can see and do. The office and the app stay in sync.
Where: Manage (top bar) -> Team tile -> Invite an employee by email; per-person controls under the same screen
- Click "Manage" in the top bar, open the "Team" tile, and scroll to "Invite an employee by email." (The sidebar's Team button is timesheets and payroll - not this screen.)
- Enter the tech's name and email, choose the "Tech (field)" role, and make sure "Field app" access is checked.
- Click "Send invite." WaterMark emails them a secure link (valid 7 days) to set their own password - no shared temp password.
- The email also tells them to download the field app - "WaterMark Pool Service" on the App Store or Google Play - and sign in there with the password they just set.
- Once they sign in on their phone, dispatch stops to them from Route Manager so their route isn't empty.
- Set what field workers can do using the field-app permission defaults in Team, and use a person's "Permissions" button to allow or block one individual.
- Techs clock in and out, complete each stop, log water tests, and send visit recaps from the app; the office sees it all live.
Good to know
- The route map shows each tech's planned stops and their last check-ins - it is not live GPS fleet tracking.
- Tap-to-pay on an iPhone (taking a card tap on the phone) is a field-app-only feature and has to be set up first - it needs Stripe payouts connected plus Apple's enable step inside the field app's Settings. It isn't on the web dashboard.
- Automated text reminders to customers are built in, but outbound texting turns on only once SMS is enabled for your account - until then, treat texting as something you switch on in Settings, not something that happens on its own.
