Jobs & Field Work

Build a form and read what techs submit

Forms are the extra paperwork your techs fill in the field: opening checklists, equipment inspections, damage reports. You build them by clicking, with no syntax to learn, and every filled copy comes back to the office.

Where: Manage -> Forms

  1. Open Manage, then Forms. Scroll to 'Build a new form' and give the form a name (and an optional description).
  2. Click 'Add field' for each question. Type a label, then pick a field type: text, number, checkbox, select, date, photo, or signature.
  3. For a 'select' field, type the choices separated by commas. Turn on 'Required' for any field the tech must answer.
  4. Reorder fields with the up/down arrows, remove one with the X, then click Create form.
  5. Use the Active checkbox in the forms table to control whether a form shows to techs in the field; uncheck it to retire a form without deleting it.
  6. Attach the form to the job types that should show it (Manage -> Job types, checklists & forms -> Forms) so it appears on the right visits.
  7. Watch 'Submitted forms' to see copies as techs fill them; click any row to read the answers.
Good to know
  • Editing a form (click its name) changes it going forward; already-submitted copies keep the answers they were filled with.
  • Deleting a form removes it from the field app and deletes its saved submissions, and that cannot be undone.
