Scheduling & Routes
Open the Route Manager and read the dispatch board
The Route Manager is your day-of dispatch board. It shows every stop for a chosen date laid out in a column per technician, so you can see who is doing what, drag work around, and keep the day moving.
Where: Left sidebar -> Route Manager
- Click Route Manager at the bottom of the left sidebar.
- Use the date picker at the top to choose the day you want to see.
- Click Add job to schedule one stop on that date, or use the plus button in a technician's column to preselect that technician.
- Click Generate schedule to create the day's pending stops from your recurring plans (does nothing if they already exist).
- Read each technician's column top to bottom; the number badge shows done vs total stops.
- Click any stop card to open its notes; use Optimize route to reorder pending stops by shortest drive.
- To save a dispatch setup, click the presets control beside the date, choose the technicians, layout, grouping, sort, and card density, then name the preset. It also remembers the selected date and business-unit filter.
- Use Apply preset in the board toolbar to switch to one of your presets in one selection. Your presets follow your login between browsers and do not change another dispatcher's board.
- Click Map to plot the day's stops, or Print for a clean route sheet per tech.
- Click Done when you're finished; the board saves changes as you go.
Good to know
- If a stop has no valid street address it won't plot on the map. Add city and state to the customer, then reopen the map.
- The Optimize route button reorders stops for the day you're viewing across every active tech; it saves drive time but never moves work to a different day.
- Older company layouts remain available as read-only choices. Saving one creates your own private copy. If a saved technician or business unit is later removed, WaterMark ignores that reference and keeps the board usable instead of showing a false empty day.
- The board's Map shows planned stops and each tech's last check-in dot. It is not live GPS. The separate Live crew button shows only techs who opted in to share location, with an honest 'N min ago' age on each dot.
