Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA)
Add a second step at sign-in so a stolen password alone can't get into your account. Strongly recommended for owners and office staff. You'll use a free authenticator app on your phone.
Where: Account menu (bottom-left sidebar) -> Account settings -> scroll to 'Two-factor authentication'
- Install an authenticator app on your phone if you don't have one - Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password all work.
- Open the Account menu at the bottom-left and choose 'Account settings'.
- Scroll to the 'Two-factor authentication' section and click 'Enable two-factor'.
- Scan the on-screen QR code with your authenticator app (or type in the setup key by hand if you can't scan).
- Enter the current 6-digit code from your app to confirm, then click to verify.
- Save the 8 backup codes it shows you - they appear only once. Keep them somewhere safe in case you lose your phone.
Good to know
- The backup codes are shown one time only and each works once. Download or write them down before you close the window.
- Lost your phone and your backup codes? Contact support@watermarkapp.online - they can help you regain access after verifying you own the account.
- To turn 2FA off later, return to the same section and use 'Turn off' (you'll enter a current code to confirm).
