Organize work with business units

Business units group your work by line of business - for example Maintenance, Service/Repair, and Construction. They color-band your dispatch board, filter routes, and split your scorecards. They're optional; skip them if you run a single line.

Where: Manage (gear) -> Setup -> Business units

  1. Open Manage -> Setup -> Business units.
  2. Type a unit name in the 'New unit name' box (e.g. Maintenance).
  3. Pick a color for the unit using the color swatch - that color bands the unit on your dispatch board.
  4. Click 'Add unit'.
  5. Repeat for each line of business you run.
  6. To rename or recolor a unit later, edit it in the list and it saves automatically; uncheck Active to retire a unit without deleting it.
Good to know
  • Deleting a unit does not lose data - techs, pools, and jobs in that unit simply become unassigned.
  • If you run one type of work, leave this empty. Units are a convenience, not a requirement.
