Understand billing, upgrades, and cancellation

The owner-only Billing & plan screen shows the current WaterMark plan, active technician seats, the next charge and payment method when they can be confirmed, and paid subscription receipts. Upgrade or open the secure billing portal from the same screen.

Where: Left sidebar -> Account -> Manage company -> Money -> Billing & plan (account owner)

  1. Click Account in the left sidebar, choose Manage company, find the Money section, and click Billing & plan.
  2. Read Plan and Seats in the account details. The screen also shows the next charge and payment method when those facts are available.
  3. Under Subscription receipts, open a Receipt link to view a paid subscription invoice when the provider supplies one.
  4. If no subscription is active, click Start subscription to choose monthly or annual billing. New accounts begin with a 30-day free trial of the $59 a month plan, no card required. There is no permanent free tier. Until a card is on file, the entire trial includes up to 100 text segments, 20 AI actions, 10 receptionist minutes and 5,000 customer emails. A trial without a subscription can have 2 active technicians, the seats the plan includes. On a subscription, paid AI stops at 30 blocks ($300) a month and paid receptionist minutes stop at 40 blocks ($200) a month; past either cap that feature is declined for the rest of the month and nothing more is billed. At day 30, choose a subscription or your workspace pauses. Your data stays stored and exportable. Existing Starter customers receive at least 30 days of advance notice before their access changes.
  5. For an active subscription, use Switch to annual or Switch to monthly on Billing & plan to change the billing interval: WaterMark makes that change itself and Stripe credits the time already paid. Update card or cancel opens the secure billing portal, which is where the payment method and cancellation live.
  6. Return to Billing & plan to read the current status. When a cancellation is scheduled for period end, the screen shows the date the plan ends.
Good to know
  • Monthly is the default. Annual billing costs 10 times monthly, so 2 months are free: the standard base is $590 a year with 2 techs included, plus $200 a year for each added tech through the tenth and $150 a year from the eleventh. Full annual refund within 30 days of the annual charge, none after. Upgrades prorate as credit.
  • Billing & plan and the billing portal are account-owner controls; WaterMark hides them from other office users.
  • Seats is the active technician count used for the plan. The screen does not present customer or office-login counts as technician seats.
  • Subscription receipts lists provider-confirmed paid subscription invoices. If that history cannot be confirmed, the screen says so instead of showing an empty history as proof that no charge occurred.
