What your customer sees in the visit recap

The recap is your company's face. This guide lists exactly which captured fields reach the homeowner, and the honesty rules that keep a recap from ever overstating a visit.

Where: Field app -> close-out screen -> send recap; Office -> a completed job -> recap

  1. The recap describes the visit in plain language: the work done, and when the next visit is.
  2. Three homeowner-safe readings can be included: free chlorine, pH, and total alkalinity. Deeper chemistry stays in your records.
  3. Chemicals added are listed only from saved dose records. A dose that was typed but never saved cannot appear in a customer's recap.
  4. A recap can only be sent for a visit that actually happened: an unfinished job with no technician, readings, doses, or photos refuses to generate one.
  5. Recaps go out in the customer's language - English or Spanish - based on their preference.
Good to know
  • The reassurance line at the end is earned, not automatic: it only appears when the visit's saved records support it.
  • Customers can pay from the recap's payment link by card or bank (ACH) when online payments are set up - through your own Stripe account.
  • The same honesty rules apply whether the recap is sent from the truck or from the office.
